I couldn’t agree more. We are a nation of many religions, contrary to what a lot of people believe, and our founders made sure to write it down, so we wouldn’t forget. The important line is Freedom of Religion, not Freedom from Religion. So, you can be Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or whatever.
I also like that it’s kind of flying the middle finger at the nut-job terrorists, that may be my favorite part of the whole thing.
Should we fly a confederate flag across the street from the Lincoln Memorial, too?
There’s such a thing as being too tolerant, and this is definitely in that realm.
Also, trust me – the bad guys won’t take it as a middle finger. Quite the contrary, actually. In fact, once they install a Saudi trained extremist imam, it’ll just be awesome.
Sort of like putting up an animatronic Jefferson Davis next to the Lincoln statue, if you ask me….
